Welcome to Movie English, a relaxed, conversation-friendly class where we enjoy a movie together each month - divided into four weekly lessons.
Each week, we’ll watch about 30 minutes of the film, broken into three short segments (around 10 minutes each). After each segment, we’ll pause to check key vocabulary, ask simple questions, and share our impressions.
We use movies from Amazon Prime Video, carefully selected for their clear dialogue, strong visuals, and emotional connection. Watching the same film across several lessons helps build understanding, confidence, and listening skills.
You can relax on the sofa or warm your feet under the kotatsu in winter. For Movie English, enjoy popcorn and a drink while you watch, just like a real cinema experience.
Roman Holiday
In June, we’ll be watching the classic film Roman Holiday starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. Each week, we’ll enjoy short scenes from the movie, learn useful vocabulary, and talk about the story, characters, and life in Rome. It’s a perfect film for relaxed listening and conversation practice—romantic, charming, and easy to follow.
